REVIEW OF NOKIA LUMIA 800 AND 710

Nokia has launched its initial windows phones the lumia 800 and lumia 710 in india . price at 29,999 and 18,999 respectively , the device will be available in metro cities right away, and should make it to more than 100 other cities by the end of january , according to nokia india director (marketing ) ,viral oza .




nokia's amazing everyday campaign is one of its most extensive till date, with the finnish mobile manufacturing truly trying out of the box approaches when it comes to advertising for the devices .this included everything from helicopter rides to music and dance concerts ,and even a toll tax exemption for a couple of hours on launched day .the company has a lot invested in the launch of the first nokia windows phones, with many hopes riding on the success of the windows phone platform .

many hopes riding on the company is putting all its eggs in one basket by limiting itself exclusively to windows phone .don't miss our review later in this magazine to see if it has produced a good product. as for its reception in the indian market we'll have to wait and see.

how to remove nokia n8 hanging issues

i had got a nokia N8 for myself when it was launched after 1 or 2 months it started to "hang " while multi-tasking (i didn't mind that cuz it used to get ok ) but, after few months this become a major problem as it got "hanged" for 2 days '(i also tried rebooting it again and and again ,but didn't work)then i went NOKIA SOLUTION PARTNER , where they had 'formatted ' all the things except PHOTOS and CONTACTS then for god sake it was working but they said that not to download any app./content from the net, as this was a problem because a virus had entered from the net and that too because i had downloaded an anti-virus ; now i am not downloading anything ,but then what is the use of this phone if i cant even use /download from the net. please can you suggest me a solution so that i can download things (say supposing from the ovi stor)

the N8 did have problems with the symbian ^3 os it came preloaded with .
however ,since you are facing slowdown issues, we suggest you do the following 


steps:-

1. take a backup of the very essential stuff- contacts primarily, and very necessary messages. nothing else.
2. use the ovi suite to search for a symbian anna update for your phone 
3. allow the update to download and install
4. now transfer contacts and messages back to the phone 

what you will notice is that the phone will be considerably faster and will rarely hang. about the virus, it could be correct. we suggest you do not download apps from sources other than the ovi store

Vodafone has launched its android -based 3G phone .vodafone smart in india .price at RS 4,995 the vodafone smart run on android 2.2.1 and is powered by the snapdragon s1 processor . the telecom operator ,which previously launched  vodafone blue ,aims to target tech-savvy users , as the phone features new mobile apps. games ,internet  and social networking tools on the go . vodafone is offering the device with a tow -year warranty . 

the vodafone smart features a2.8 -inch capacitive touch display and a 2 MP camera .for connectivity ,the phone supports WI-FI ,GPRS, and BLUETOOTH  2.1 the vodafone smart has just 130 MB of internal storage though the device packs card .the internal storage of the device can be expanded up to 32 GB via microsd card  
vodafone is, however ,not offer budget 3G mobile phones. idea , another telecom gaint in india,recently launched two android-baised budget 3G smartphone ,blade and id280. black in august ,MTS launched mTag 3.1 and MTS livewire,budget smartphones in the sub  RS 5,000 category .
